Moving With The Times. Our New Office

When Covid-19 struck and we were all forced to work from home it prompted the question of whether when the time came we should return. Did our offices still serve our needs as a business? Maybe it was time to move to pastures new...

There were so many things we loved about our offices. The rural location meant that we could watch the cows and sheep in the fields from our windows, and spend lunch breaks eating outside, or on a walk down one of the nearby footpaths. We didn't have traffic noise or pollution to contend with, and we had furnished the open plan space inside with our own merchandise products. It really was a nice place to spend our working days.

However, there was no denying the fact that we had outgrown the space. With an ever-expanding catalogue of products and a growing customer base we needed storage, more flexible spaces for our staff to work and rest, and somewhere better suited to the logistical needs of the company.

We therefore took the decision during lockdown to find somewhere new, and after a few months with the office contents packed into temporary storage we finally relocated to our new home in the riverside village of Bidford-On-Avon.

Onwards and Upwards

Now that we've unpacked and set up in the new building we can see that the stress of the move was certainly worth it. Being located on an industrial estate it suits our needs as a growing business so much better, with a warehouse enabling us to receive large shipments directly and to pick and dispatch customer shipments ourselves. We're already providing a more efficient service to our customers with better ability to control quality and the supply chain.

The neighbouring businesses are so friendly there is a true sense of community here. The cafe around the corner has us hooked already with their delicious lunches, which we can work off in the gym opposite after work! Plus, although there are no farm animals in the vicinity we still have trees to gaze at out of our windows.

Changes forced upon us often cause us to look at things in a different light. After making big decisions and with a huge amount of upheaval, on this occasion we've ended up where we needed to be to continue to grow and improve.
